What Drifter can see, how its answers are grounded in statistics calculated before the AI reads them, and what it will not do.

Drifter is the AI coach inside TradeDrift. It answers questions about your own trading. The design choice behind it is simple: numbers are calculated, and AI interprets them.
What happens when you ask a question
- The analytics engine computes the relevant statistics from your trades in exact arithmetic.
- Those figures are packaged into a fact sheet. Every rate carries its sample size and a sufficiency grade.
- Drifter receives the fact sheet — not your individual trade rows — and explains what the figures suggest.
Why it works this way
Language models are good at explaining and poor at arithmetic. Letting a model add up a trade history invites confident, wrong numbers. Computing first means every figure in an answer is one the analytics engine produced, and the same figure you would see on your dashboard.
Factual and interpreted answers
Factual questions are answered directly from your computed figures. Interpreted answers — where the model reads the figures and explains them — use AI credits. Each plan’s allowance is listed on the pricing page.
What it will not do
Drifter does not predict markets, give trade signals or recommend what to buy or sell, and it refuses requests to. It describes your history. TradeDrift is not an investment adviser.
